Archived: The OLLI Winter 2021 Course Catalog Is Available!

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Southern Oregon University (OLLI at SOU) provides older adults with intellectually stimulating courses and social functions. Dozens of courses are offered in each of three terms, September through June. A one-time annual fee covers all courses that a member takes during the Fall, Winter, and Spring terms.

Volunteer instructors, most often OLLI members, share their expertise and passions in courses spanning such diverse topics as art, hiking, history, investments, landscaping, music, political science, science, travel, theatre, and writing. Since there are no tests, papers or grades, and the classroom environment is casual and relaxed, classes are fun for both students and instructors.

OLLI is more than attending classes and social functions. Members are afforded the opportunity to volunteer in their member-run organization. They are encouraged to: serve on committees, teach courses, assist in orienting newcomers, host classes, and participate in OLLI governance by becoming a member of the Council.
