Archived: OLLI’s Summer Speakers Series Offers a Free Taste of OLLI!

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Southern Oregon University (OLLI at SOU) provides stimulating courses and social engagement geared to those aged 50+.

Annual enrollment for the 2021-2022 academic year has begun. A single annual fee of $150 enables members to take all the courses they can schedule from among 75-100 courses offered in each of three terms, September through June, with no additional tuition per course. Scholarships are available for those with limited means.

Classes are offered in person on OLLI’s campuses in Ashland and Medford, as well as via Zoom. One-on-one support in using Zoom is available.

Volunteer instructors from OLLI and the community share their expertise and passions in courses spanning such diverse topics as art, hiking, history, investments, landscaping, music, political science, science, travel, theatre, and writing. Since there are no tests, papers or grades, classes are fun for both students and instructors.

OLLI is more than attending classes and social functions. Members are afforded the opportunity to volunteer to serve on committees, teach courses, assist in orienting newcomers, host classes, and participate in OLLI governance by becoming a member of the Council.
