The holidays can bring many stressors, including lack of time, this year the stress of COVID-19 and worries of safe family gatherings, and emotional and financial stress. The Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance program has a variety of services to help families and individuals experience the joys of the season without worrying about the financial burden that comes with the season’s expenses.

The Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance program helps struggling households

By providing grocery assistance, The Salvation Army helps struggling households to keep food on their table these families are welcome to take advantage of the food assistance provided through. In some areas, holiday meals are delivered to those in need or cannot reach a food distribution center.

Economic pressures from the COVID-19 pandemic will force many to choose between paying bills and Christmas presents. Christmas is a magical time for both children and adults. Part of that magic and joy is watching the face of a child as he or she opens their presents on Christmas morning. The Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance program can help families with children up to age 17 to receive toys and other essentials for Christmas so that they may experience a joy-filled Christmas morning.

Distribution determined on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Christmas Assistance Registration Dates and Hours:

October 29 – November 1
9:00 – 11:30 AM

November 5 – November 7
9:00 – 11:30 AM and 1:00 – 3:30 PM

To sign up, you must bring:

1. Picture ID for everyone 18 and older in the household

2. Proof of birthdate or ID for children to confirm birthdate–Bring one of these: shot records, birth certificate, or state-issued paper

3. Current gas and power bill and rent receipt (all three are required)

4. The last two pay stubs to show the income of everyone in the household
